Hi Everyone, I’m setting up the next Service Roster, February – May. If you can lead services or give a dvar torah on the weekly portion during this time, please e-mail me at ritual@sinogogue.org with your availability during this period and put “service roster” in the subject line. To set up the roster efficiently what I need from volunteers is all the time you will be in Beijing (or if you prefer, the dates you won’t be in Beijing/won’t be available). Then I’ll slot everyone in and send it around. I’m sorry, but it really doesn’t work if people give me a date or two they have chosen — we wind up with too many overlaps and too many gaps. Please do let me know, so I can send around the new roster. Debbi

Recently, parents have been stepping-up and planning social activities around Sunday School. It is a lovely tradition and we invite and encourage everyone to participate. Two weeks ago Amy and Elita Gendler invited all back to their home following school to enjoy swimming and pizza. Last Sunday Shelly Wesler invited the parents to enjoy coffee and cake at her home during class. It was lovely time getting to know one another better and finding out a little more about each family. Sundays are the perfect time to hang out with friends, so if you have an idea, please take the initiative and make it happen—and watch our community bonds strengthen and grow!
