Founded in 1979, the Kehillat Beijing Foundation supports Jewish life in Beijing, around China, and across the world. We host Shabbat services and dinner each and every Friday night beginning at 7:00pm, in addition to a range of holiday celebrations, educational opportunities, and community retreats and excursions into one of the world's greatest cities. 

Beijing Bar Mitzvah - Seth Hodges

As such a small community of Jews in a relatively far-out city, special life events aren't as frequent as they are in larger communities.  When they do come around, they're extra extra special, which is why the Kehillat Beijing community is proud to celebrate the Bar Mitzvah of Seth David Hodges.

Seth celebrated his Bar Mitzvah in Beijing on April 25 and 26, 2014, with Rabbi Sharon Steinberg coming all the way from the US to guide the community with her energetic presence and gorgeous voice. 

Kehillat Beijing provides Jewish support for all lifecycle events.
