Kehillat Beijing

Founded in 1979, the Kehillat Beijing Foundation supports Jewish life in Beijing, around China, and across the world. We host Shabbat services and dinner each and every Friday night beginning at 7:00pm, in addition to a range of holiday celebrations, educational opportunities, and community retreats and excursions into one of the world's greatest cities.

The Kehillat Beijing Spring Retreat 2016,  April 30th - May 1st

Get out of the city, enjoy the warm weather and relax in the cool mountain air with the best Jews in town!

Kehillat will be holding a community get-together over the May Day weekend. It will be about an hour and a half's drive north of Beijing. It'll be similar to other gatherings up near the wall - good hiking, good company, family-friendly programming (and mostly free time), as well as some beer drinking and music-making.

As with all Kehillat activities, this one will be heavily dependent on community support. Please let us know below if you'll be able to bring snacks, drinks, outdoor equipment, sports equipment, musical instruments, or other fun stuff.

We'll begin Kabalat Shabbat services and dinner on Friday evening. Accommodation and all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) will be provided.

IMPORTANT: If you'd like to attend, you need to pay for the retreat beforehand:

Pay Online (this is the best option)

Pay by Cash - RSVP here for cash tickets. Please pay either at the communal seder welcome desk (April 22nd) or at Friday night services (April 15th). If you need to use cash but will not at either of these earlier events or would rather not use money on shabbat, send an email to info@sinogogue.org.

Additionally, if you have difficulty affording the cost of the retreat, send us an email.
